Assignment details

Clear Channel wanted to welcome Dentsu to Hakaniemi, as their Finnish office moved almost next door.

Clear Channel contacted me and hoped for a map of Hakaniemi, that would be then printed and given to Dentsu as a housewarming gift. Clear Channel wanted to emphasize the fact that the offices were close to each other by marking the offices in the map.

The end result

My vision was to not only make a map, but a more graphic and fun to watch painting, which would have the land marks of Hakaniemi in it. You can find both Clear Channel’s and Dentsu’s offices next to each other, but also Ympyrätalo, Hakaniemen Kauppahalli, Metro and the restaurant ship Flying Dutch.

Since the original wish was to have a map, I decided to add a realistic map of Hakaniemi in the upper corner of the illustrated art work. This added a fun twist – the land marks of the illustrations are also shown in their correct places.
